Do you mind if I ask you for an advice?

I'm not terribly new to using PhotoShop for digital painting but I have a problem with painting with different colors. What I mean by that is whenever I try to paint, the painting comes monotonic. I know he reason why it does. It's because I only use a certain kind of colors and/or color scheme. I know I have to mix colors to give depth and details but I don't know where to start with. I hope I'm making sense here. If you do get what I mean, I would really like to have an advice on how to solve this problem.

Thanks for the time reading this comment.
